Roadwork Continues...
These sheep from the Mt. Bruce Sheep Station in Romeo welcomed us to Spring Fiber Days. Where would we be without wool? Throughout this knitted farmyard project, we use two strands of Brown Sheep worsted wool, in beautiful color combinations and various stitches. The premiere issue of Living Crafts magazine has all the patterns. We've added details to make a truly unique statement.
An inviting dirt road connects the sheep meadow and the pond. Imagine children in rubber boots, marching down this muddy road, in search of frogs or frisky lambs. Springtime is just around the corner!
Here, Yvonne needle felted the rocks and flowers, then added tufts of grass for a charming 3-D effect. The sheep meadow is done in limeade and kiwi.
Jim's pond uses the same greens, plus a double strand of brite blue for the water.
